Video Helper for Telegram Web · Last updated 28 October 2026

This extension is an independent product. It is not affiliated with Telegram FZ-LLC.

What the extension does

It saves a video you are already watching on Telegram Web to your computer. Encrypted DRM media is not saved.

What stays on your device

Video files, download history, file-name prefix, language, and the save-location setting stay in Chrome storage and your Downloads folder. Chat text and video bytes are not uploaded to the license server.

What the license server receives

When you activate a code, refresh a license, check or use a free restricted save, or use a paid restricted save, the extension sends:

a random install ID created on this browser
the activation code you paste, if you have one
how many free restricted saves this install has already used
your IP address, used only to slow down guessing (counters expire in one hour)

The server stores a hash of the code, the bound install ID, status, timestamps, optional expiry, remaining paid save counts, and the free restricted-save count for that install ID. Ordinary (unrestricted) saves do not call this server. Chrome sync on the same profile also keeps the free-save count, so reinstalling the extension on this Chrome profile does not reset it.

Free trial

Restricted saves include a free trial. To keep that trial going or to report a problem, email maotouemail@gmail.com. This extension does not take payment.

Retention

License records stay until the seller unbinds or revokes the code, or the service is shut down. Uninstalling the extension deletes local Chrome storage. The free-save count on Chrome sync (same profile) and the server trial record remain.

Sharing

We do not sell user data. We do not use it for advertising. Hosting is on Cloudflare Workers and KV.
